Joomla 1.5

It is very important to know that when searching the web for Joomla! resources and help, make sure you are looking for Joomla! version 1.5 (which is the version we teach on Make Your Website). Joomla has a history dating back to 2000, meaning there have been prior versions, most notable version 1.0. Different versions have different features, so ensure you don't waste time by reading references to older versions, make sure you search Joomla 1.5.

Joomla! is a very large software package that is capabable and suitable for running anything from a small blog site to a large corporate private intranet site.

The best way to get comfortable with Joomla! is to get in and navigate the administration side yourself. We will provide notes on the essential parts throughout your lessons, however over time you will pick up new skills from across the web to improve the way you use Joomla!.
